A historic city of Iguala is placed 102 kilometer (63 miles) from either Chilpancingo in the Mexican state of Guerrero. It stands in Federal Highway 95.

Among Iguala's independent attractions come: a San Francisco Church, built in a 19th century & the Laguna of Tuxpan, characterized for its singular beauty. Iguala's local artificer manufacture gold & silver jewellery. General Vicente Guerrero was the number 1 armed forces leader to swear allegiance to the Mexican flag inside Acatempan on 12 March 1821. A Plan de Iguala (published on 24 February 1821) ended a war of independence & was represented by the flag, known as the flag of the tierce guarantees, which was mass produced by José Magdaleno Ocampo. So a city of Iguala is known as a birthplace of the modern Mexican flag. Every month the flag fair is held within Iguala. This fair is one of a first celebration to the population of Iguala. These are celebrated by using the float parade, cockfights, & handicraft exhibitions inside late February.
